About Me

My photo
Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, United Kingdom
I have just graduated in Textile Design at Nottingham Trent University 2010, specialising in Embroidery. Although I am skilled in Embroidery now, I have always had a passion for illustration and drawing, which features a lot in my work. I enjoy mixing image in textiles and creating one off humorous pieces that tickle your funny bone.

Proper old tree porno, is there any other kind?

I want, no need, to wake up in that amazing bed! Phheeeww I'm breaking a sweat just lusting after it sat here in my plastic chair, everything should be made of wood! Except ovens maybe.

Small as you like

Don't you wish you could live in one of these tiny little houses? We as a culture have a strange interest with things that are minature, I know I do! These little gems of pleasure are from TheOakLeave's at Etsy.com --> link: http://www.etsy.com/people/theoakleaves
Happy New Year to all!

I love to draw! What I think I love most is attaching funny comments to my drawings for fun. I've been trying recently to learn how to use Illustrator and Photoshop *better* and it's been a tricky at times but I'm happy with some of these outcomes. Don't ask me where I get my inspiration, not even I know that.

Degree work 2010

For my degree I designed illustrative embroidery for kitchen/tableware. Below are some examples of my work in situ.

My main inspiration came from coffee shop culture, the way in which we work and live in public spaces such as the humble tea room, or the moody coffee shop. I wanted to create interesting and exciting pieces of work that were attractive, yet also had a text that you could read and communicate/comment on.
